Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros– Summer Stampede (July 6, 2013)
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American indie folk (formed in Los Angeles, California) that has become a GLOBAL PHENOMENON and is known all over the world for the song that everyone CAN SING BY HEART: ‘Home.’ The collaborative chemistry between Alex and Jade is undeniable, and the troop of 10 musicians backing them is QUITE the music collective (hard to beat!). Drawing from roots rock, folk, gospel, and psychedelic music, the band’s image and sound evoke the hippie movement of the 1960s/1970, and we can’t help but embrace our inner-hippie. Plus, Alex is QUITE THE CHARACTER and definitely makes sure to get the crowd involved at live shows. I can’t believe I got to SHAKE HIS HAND (see below) at London 2013 Summer Stampede!
Video where I give Alex from Edward Sharpe a nice, strong handshake (I’m the one with the beaded bracelet!): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=551204458277195&set=p.551204458277195&type=2&theater
